This above all…To thine own self, be true!

Said Shakespeare 402 years ago. The murmurings started many moons ago and reached a crescendo a while back. Believe in Yourself (BIY) urges you to push new boundaries, to tread the untrodden, do things deemed “impossible” and finally triumph! The road to victory is long and hard coz its more about overcoming self, to quieten the inner voice, silence the self-critic, quell our fears and “be the change”, one step, one day, one attainment at a time!

Such is the story of BIY’s new beginning.

What BIY has chosen to do is boundarlylessly share what its multiple COP’s (communities of practice) have learnt over the years, chiseled and honed into nuggets of learning; building, growing and sustaining culture! Culture that is all consuming, endures the test of trying times, becomes the moral compass of the company, glue which holds its fabric together, slowly seeping into the DNA of its people.
Culture a big word, often confuses and befuddles. Stated simply, it means - how we really do things vs what we say we do! For BIY, culture really starts with us! Do we know who we truly am, do we know what we stand for, do we know what we will never compromise, do we know our my purpose, do we know our values and do we know how long and hard the road to live and uphold our values can be, will be…
For this journey is not for the faint hearted at all.

At the core of culture is our values and behaviours, which are at times like a lighthouse in rocky water warding us off and away from danger and other times like a beacon of light, luring us towards it when we on the right path. Once the behaviours are detailed out and documented, its about embedding them into every key phase and process of our life. What we look for when we seek friendships (hiring), how we support our friends and colleagues (training), how we celebrate life's high’s with them (recognition), what we say about them to others (performance appraisal), how we reach out to them (communication), how we discuss our dreams and future with them (planning) and so on…

BIY want to create as many communities as I can, travel to as many places as possible, be on every stage that wants to listen and learn, work across the value chain and with everyone who wants to create lasting culture for companies, ensure top leadership team alignment, craft out values and behaviours for their stakeholders, embed them deeply into company’s core processes and build a culture of and for future ready organisation!

The pillars it rests on are Coaching powered by its belief that conversations laced with empathy, high EQ, ability to generate reflections and power of questioning will help make groups and leaders take quantum leaps forwards in their personal and professional growth. Coaching Festival by BIY was testament to that belief! The other pillar is Diversity which is the anchor that both grounds the organisation as well as a propeller that helps it surge ahead. Multigeneration and gender diversity needs to be front and centre of boardroom conversation and BIY fuels both. Its “Press for Progress” event was a step in that direction besides its several programs depending on evolution cycle of the organisation.

Its towards this end, that today BIY journey leverages tools of the modern world as cafe meetups, blogs, workshops, festivals, virtual events, podcasts and more! Of course its core expertise lies in end to end consulting and advisory, implementation and execution and compliance and governance for any corporate looking to build, reignite, crescendo its values and behaviours. Culture of coaching, learning, digital mindset, recognition, performance, growth, innovation, compliance…

As this goes into print, BIY is on a multi city, multi country tour of Culture Confluence which is a amalgamation of rich and deep discussions and debate on what’s the tone at the top, why are the Ceo’s and the founder’s spending extraordinary time over organisation culture, who are the critical skills as we move ahead, learnings from global thought leaders on “Is human truly at the centre of workforce and workplace of the future and more…

Join BIY as a compatriot for we are voyagers on same journey. Who knows what the future holds? But the belief is deep and strong. It’s time for new beginnings. BIY is going “all out” to be the catalyst and “Be the Change”…
